Charles Oliveira’s remarkable updated bonus total after collecting another $50k at UFC Rio

Charles Oliveira secured yet another post-fight bonus when he returned to action on Saturday night.

The former lightweight champion looked set to face a tough task after being handed a replacement opponent for UFC Rio. But Oliveira needed only two rounds to submit Mateusz Gamrot in the Brazilian’s first fight in his home country in over five years.

The dangers of facing an opponent like Oliveira are well documented, with the 35-year-old veteran being an elite finisher regardless of where the fight takes place.

It’s this killer instinct and his tendency to put on great fights for the fans that has led to ‘Do Bronx’ earning more post-fight bonuses than any other UFC fighter, and he was able to extend his lead over the rest of the field courtesy of Saturday’s rear-naked choke.

Charles Oliveira has earned a staggering $1,070,000 in post-fight bonuses

Charles Oliveira is often likely to end up producing one of the highlights of the night whenever he competes.

Whether he’s meeting fire with fire in an explosive bout or getting his opponent out of there in style, the Brazilian’s ability to steal the show is unmatched.

UFC fighters with the most post-fight bonuses Total post-fight bonuses
Charles Oliveira 21
Donald Cerrone 18
Nate Diaz 16
Jim Miller 15
Joe Lauzon 15
Dustin Poirier 15
Anderson Silva 14
Justin Gaethje 14
Edson Barboza 13
Max Holloway 13

It’s no surprise that the fighter with the most finishes in UFC history also holds the record for the most post-fight bonuses.

With his UFC Rio victory, Oliveira boosted his total of Performance of the Night bonuses to 14. He also has four for Fight of the Night and three for Submission of the Night (which no longer exists).

His record of 21 bonuses has seen him earn a staggering $1,070,000, or one million and seventy thousand dollars.

From his UFC debut all the way back in 2010 to his dominant victory over Michael Chandler at Madison Square Garden, if Oliveira is in action, there’s a strong chance he’s leaving the arena with an extra pay packet.

Charles Oliveira will likely get another bonus if the UFC grants his 2026 wish

While the celebrations are ongoing after his quick return to winning ways less than four months on from a brutal setback against Ilia Topuria, Oliveira has already been looking to the future.

The Brazilian fan favorite plans to remain active and was quick to call out Max Holloway after his UFC Rio triumph. ‘Do Bronx’ is looking to avenge his loss to ‘Blessed’ from 2015, which came about after an injury.

Holloway soon responded to Oliveira, giving a positive reaction to the pitch and even suggesting the UFC White House event in 2026 as the perfect date and venue.
