Conor Benn (23-1, 14 KOs) certainly loves to stir up drama. Following his recent loss to Chris Eubank Jr (35-3, 25 KOs), Benn is currently gearing up for a rematch at the same venue, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, in November. However, this surely hasn’t stopped him from making a potential crossover callout.

Talking on social media during his workout session, Benn did not hold back from calling out UFC fighters for a “bareknuckle” showdown. And it even looks like he even has a particular name in mind.

“Whoever these f**king UFC fighters who want to come over to boxing, it’s a dangerous game. Or of these MMA lot want to come over to boxing, if you fancy somebody, you can come get it. I’ll fight anybody bareknuckle. Anybody that wants to come over from the UFC. Ilia Topuria? I got these hands, brother,” he said.

Topuria recently became the UFC lightweight champion after defeating Charles Oliveira via a first-round KO at UFC 317.

With iron fists to match his exceptional skillset and a flawless record that stands as a testament, Topuria is known for having one of the finest boxing applications in MMA. With all 7 of his knockouts in the UFC coming via punches, there is no denying that he’d pose quite the challenge to Benn.

While there have been talks about Topuria potentially facing pound-for-pound king Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, it sure looks like ‘The Destroyer’ and his penchant for unhinged callouts might just have set Topuria’s boxing debut in motion.

However, Benn made it a point to add that he, on the other hand, would never cross over and attempt to compete in MMA.

“Listen, I ain’t stupid enough to go in the cage. I would never go in the cage. Do you know why? Because I’d get my a*s handed to me. But for them thinking they can come over and do that to us? That’s f**king liberty,” he said.

The Ring recently announced that Riyadh Season sponsor SELA has finalized the deal for Eubank Jr. vs. Benn 2, with the fight officially set for November 15. And with the announcement in action, Benn has one message for his opponent.

Benn reposted the Ring Magazine announcement of the rematch, stating that he was “ready in September” and will be “even more ready for November”.

Will Benn finally fulfill his generational vengeance arc? Or will Eubank Jr prove his mettle once again? Only time will tell.
