Conor McGregor is set to meet with Dustin Poirier in July. However, it appears the former UFC two-division champion has his sights set on welterweight titleholder Kamaru Usman.
McGregor called out Usman on Twitter just hours after his win against Jorge Masvidal at Saturday's UFC 261.
Usman even copying my shots now. Am I to fight this guy at some stage?

I think so. Can’t be copying my words and my shots and not get a smack for it. I like 170. It’s mine soon. pic.twitter.com/FEQgj9AsAy
This isn't the first time McGregor has expressed interest in fighting Usman. He did so in 2020 before his return against Donald Cerrone.
For now, though, McGregor will need to focus on Poirier before even thinking about Usman. In response to the Usman callout, Poirier took a shot at McGregor:
I'm going to beat your ass July 10th

Lets do it at 170lbs. 3 fights 3 different weight classes

Poirier took down McGregor in January with a second-round TKO in a rematch of their 2014 fight. McGregor previously defeated Poirier at UFC 178 with a first-round TKO.
Poirier, who is 27-6, will look to extend his winning streak to three in a row, while McGregor, who is 22-5, will look for his first win since January 2020.
