UFC CEO Dana White doesn't like holding events in stadiums. The fight promotion has put on fight cards in stadiums as recently as UFC 243, but White has been consistently opposed to the idea for years.
WrestleMania 41 took place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 19 and 20. 117,380 spectators attended the two-night event. White was in attendance and part of the massive crowd but it didn't change his mind about not wanting to hold UFC fight cards in stadiums.
"Nothing will change my mind about a stadium show," White said during the UFC Kansas City Post-Fight Press Conference. "You guys were here tonight. Kansas City is an awesome city. The people here are great. I really like this town. The energy in that place was awesome all night. That's the energy you get - not that there wasn't. What did they have, 63,000 there (the second night)? I mean, you're going to get some energy like they did."
Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor recently stated that he'd only return to the octagon if the event took place in a stadium. McGregor's stipulation came as a result of the Irishman watching WrestleMania 41.
"I’ll only come back to a stadium," McGregor wrote on X last week.
However, White doesn't seem open to doing another stadium show. "I am not a fan of stadiums. I like arenas," he said.
