It has been a long time since fans have seen Conor McGregor in his prime form, the version who lived and breathed MMA rather than controversy. Since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264, the Irish superstar has made headlines more for scandals than fights. However, recent appearances have sparked optimism among fans that McGregor might finally be regaining his old focus and discipline.
With the highly anticipated UFC White House event set for 14 June 2026, many hope this marks his true comeback. During a recent BKFC press conference, McGregor offered a candid and positive outlook on life, giving fans a glimpse of the mindset that once made him unstoppable.
Beyond his highly anticipated return to fighting, Conor McGregor has also been thriving in his role as part-owner of BKFC. The promotion is set to make its debut in Rome on October 25 with BKFC 83, headlined by a cruiserweight title clash between Alessio Sakara and Chris Camozzi. As expected, the Irishman made his presence felt at the pre-fight press conference.
But this time, he surprised fans with a heartfelt message filled with faith and conviction. When asked about his journey back to competition and his potential Octagon return at next year’s UFC White House event, McGregor opened up about his renewed faith and spiritual awakening.
He said, “I am not here just by chance. There is a higher power — God — that dictates my journey. I live my life by God’s word, and since the last event, I have engaged in a spiritual journey. I’m saved. I’m healed. On the back of that, the world is in for a treat.”

McGregor went on to express his rekindled competitive spirit: “My competitive spark that was once in my heart is now a roaring blaze, so I’m very excited.”
At 37 years old, a full-fledged comeback may seem like an uphill battle, but McGregor’s recent demeanor suggests he is finally finding balance and focus. For those unaware, he recently announced a social media hiatus to dedicate himself fully to training for a possible White House event bout against Michael Chandler.
While former U.S. President Donald Trump has confirmed the 14 June 2026 event , UFC CEO Dana White has yet to make it official, noting that fight discussions will begin in February 2026. Whether this reborn version of Conor McGregor truly marks a new beginning or just another chapter in his ever-dramatic story remains to be seen.
