Arman Tsarukyan’s return to the Octagon is set for next month, marking the end of a long wait for fans eager to see him back in action.
The top-ranked lightweight has not stepped into the cage since April 2024, when he beat Charles Oliveira at UFC 300 by split decision.
Tsarukyan was meant to challenge Islam Makhachev for the lightweight belt earlier this year, but had to pull out of their UFC 311 headliner due to a back injury.
UFC president Dana White has now pointed out the fighter the Armenian must defeat to secure another title shot.
On Wednesday afternoon, Dana White used Instagram Live to share news of two upcoming matchups.
The first was the headliner in Doha, where Arman Tsarukyan and Dan Hooker will face off on November 22.
Hooker had lost four out of five fights between 2020 and 2022. Since then, though, he has won three in a row against Claudio Puelles, Jalin Turner, and Mateusz Gamrot.
Another win could put him right back into title contention with a shot at Ilia Topuria next.
Also on the card is Belal Muhammad vs Ian Garry, with both men hoping to stake their claim for the next title shot at welterweight after Jack Della Maddalena faces Islam Makhachev at UFC 322.

Tsarukyan made a smooth transition into submission grappling, picking up three wins along the way.
In May, he started off by beating Makasharip Zaynukov over five rounds at Karate Combat 54.
Shortly after, he returned to the cage at ADXC 10, where he submitted Bellator legend Patricky Pitbull with a rear-naked choke.
Benson Henderson was the latest to fall victim to Tsarukyan’s skills. The former UFC champion was choked unconscious on September 19.
