Dana White joined hundreds in donating to the family of heroic PFL staff member Jeff Brady who passed away saving two children over the weekend.

The UFC boss gave $10,000 towards the overall GoFundMe effort to raise $50,000 for Brady’s family as they face funeral and memorial expenses as well as immediate living costs. Brady worked for Bellator and then PFL as a marketing and merchandising consultant.

He was also involved with Cage Warriors as they brought their events to the United States in recent years after previously working with Dan Henderson’s Clinch Gear. Brady was 51-years-old when he passed away on July 5.

In memory of Jeff Brady, a GoFundMe page was started to help his family as well as honor his life. According to a statement on the page “Funds will go toward funeral and memorial expenses, immediate living costs for Elen and Jeff’s father, and support for Greg, who is now holding up two grieving families.”

Dana White immediately got online and quietly made a sizeable donation of $10,000, which at the time of writing remains the ‘top donation’ according to GoFundMe. There were a number of anonymous donors but the number who have got involved numbers in the hundreds.

Brady’s family set an initial target of raising $50,000, and have almost achieved that within the early stages of the page being live. A statement on the page reads: “Jeff’s sudden passing has left a devastating void emotionally and financially.

“His twin brother Greg is now left to carry the weight of two households, including funeral expenses and daily needs, on a single income. The burden is heavy, and the road ahead will be long.

“The two boys rescued were his girlfriend’s young nephews and they both are going to need help with counseling and therapy. I know that Greg would never ask for this help but we know he needs this!”

Jeff Brady ‘died a hero’ as he saved two children from drowning

Brady passed away on July 5 while saving his girlfriend’s nephews from drowning over the holiday weekend. The 51-year-old jumped in to protect the two boys; 10 and 12, from a strong current in the Colorado River near Hidden Shores Resort in Yuma, Arizona.

Brady, from the San Diego area originally, had just moved to Arizona with his girlfriend to care for his aging father, according to the GoFundMe page. “He bought a new home to create a safe and peaceful space for his loved ones,” it reads.

“Living with him were the two people who meant the world to him, Elen, the love of his life, and his 84-year-old blind father. Elen had left her job in San Diego to become the full-time caregiver for Jeff’s father, dedicating her days to love and service.”

The page’s statement finishes with a message that reads: “Jeff Brady died a hero, but he lived as one too. Let’s rally together in his honor and show his family that they are not alone.”
