Dana White seems to be all-in on a title rematch between Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira.
Staking his claim for a BMF championship clash with Max Holloway, recent big-winner Charles Oliveira returned to winning ways on home soil over the weekend.
Taking out Polish star Mateusz Gamrot with a dominant second-round submission, Oliveira immediately called for a showdown with Holloway next.
And given the duo’s history at the featherweight limit, the Sao Paulo native is gung-ho on securing a showdown, potentially at next summer’s UFC White House event.
Sharing the Octagon years ago in a forgotten pairing in a rare UFC trip to Saskatoon, Oliveira would suffer a rather bizarre loss to Holloway.
Headlining the ‘Fight Night’ billed card, Oliveira was forced to the canvas following a collision at the Octagon fence, suffering a tear in his oesophagus.
In the time since, the duo have been linked with a rematch due to the unique end to their first fight.
And with Oliveira now overtaking the Hawaiian in the latest UFC rankings update, the above-mentioned White is open to booking the pair in a BMF title rematch.
“Yeah, I mean, that is obviously a fight that would be incredible — to see them two [Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira] again.
“We don’t have anything — we talked about it [that fight] today, though,” White revealed.
Extending his record as the promotion’s most prolific finisher over the weekend, Oliveira racked up another submission win in his return against Gamrot.
And landing another post-fight Performance of the Night bonus, Oliveira was awarded a disclosed $50,000 for his neck crank win over the Pole.

Returning to his native Guaruja after the event, Oliveira is said to have splashed the entire $50,000 bonus on a promise to give children a party in his hometown.
