According to MMAWeekly.com, Dana White provided a disappointing update on Conor McGregor’s return to the octagon.

It is seemingly more likely than not that Conor McGregor’s return will not be happening.

McGregor hasn’t fought in the octagon since July 2021 in a trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.

In nearly four years since his last fight, McGregor starred in a remake of the movie Roundhouse, faced multiple legal case, and a possible run for the president of his home country of Ireland.

In November 2024, McGregor was found liable for sexually assaulting Nikita Hand. The assault happened in 2018.

Following the civil case, sponsors began to drop McGregor, including the No. 12 Irish whiskey brand.

He then released a statement declaring his innocence in the matter.

McGregor was supposed to make his return to the UFC last June against Michael Chandler in UFC 303. He had to pull out of the event because of a foot injury.

UFC Dana White was asked about McGregor’s return by reporter Adam Glyn in a recent interview on Tik Tok.

White did not sound optimistic.

“He’s not fighting any time soon,” White said. “”I haven’t talked to him in a minute. I don’t know.”
