According to BoxingNews.com, UFC president Dana White is in talks to promote the Canelo-Crawford fight.

The news comes amid TKO Group Holdings Inc. launching their recent promotion to shake up the boxing industry.

White is on record expressing that he does not desire to work with currently boxing promoters Eddie Hearn and Oscar De La Hoya. Perhaps White is looking to come into structure boxing like he has done with the UFC.

There have been some concerns, with suggestions that White may seek to repeal the Muhammad Ali Act, which is designed to protect fighters by allowing them to see the breakdown of a particular show.

Canelo vs. Crawford is expected to be the biggest fight of this year.

Alvarez is now the Undisputed Super Middleweight Champion for the second time.  Crawford has not boxed since beating Israil Madrimov last year to become the WBA Junior Middleweight Champion.

Crawford will move up to 168 pounds for this fight, as one of the concerns over the difference in weight.

“We will deliver the fight of the century with @RiyadhSeason on Sept. 12 at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium. The legend @Canelo defends his @ringmagazine title vs. the great @terencecrawford. TV platform will be announced soon with big surprise. My brother @danawhite will promote this first TKO boxing event with me. It will be something crazy,” Turki Alalshikh said.
