UFC veteran Daniel Cormier mentioned that the UFC needs very high security for the Khamzat Chimaev vs. Sean Strickland fight. He mentioned that the UFC cannot let those two face off without security. Talking about that, Dana White also addressed the security concerns for UFC 328.

The Chimaev vs. Strickland fight is a super hyped one, as both fighters have real beef. As everyone knows, the tension is going to be super high, and White is stressing over the insane amount of security needed for this event. During his recent live stream with Adin Ross, the UFC boss said:

“Let me tell you, the bombers’ security—we’re going to need a lot in New Jersey for those two. The amount of security and police…”

However, many are predicting this fight and suggesting that the former middleweight champion does have a chance to defeat “Borz.” Meanwhile, some also believe that the middleweight champion is so dominant that he will win easily.

Jorge Masvidal Says Khamzat Chimaev Avoids Risk During Fights

UFC veteran Jorge Masvidal took a strong shot at Khamzat Chimaev, criticizing his wrestling-heavy style ahead of UFC 328. Masvidal claims Chimaev avoids risk by holding opponents down instead of engaging on the feet. In a recent interview with Deathrow MMA, he said:

“Just sit there and sniff crotches. You have a chance to strike, but you’re just holding the guy down because you’re scared they’re going to get away. Yeah, you’re a better wrestler, but that’s not fighting.”

He made it clear that while Chimaev is the better wrestler, he doesn’t see that as complete fighting. He also pointed to Sean Strickland as a tough matchup, saying that even if the middleweight champion gets him down, keeping him there won’t be easy.
