When the UFC White House card was first proposed, it felt like a long shot to most fans. The UFC has a reputation for doing things differently. Without any doubt, the bout will be a historic event for MMA. Dana White is pushing forward with plans for White House card, a setting that has never hosted a sports event.

At the center of it all is Donald Trump, who has long shared a close relationship with the UFC boss. That connection is hard to ignore, especially given how visible Trump has been at recent UFC events, including UFC 327. Unfortunately, the conversation around the card has taken a sharper turn after popular MMA analyst Joey questioned the entire narrative around the upcoming fight.

Given Trump’s close ties with the UFC boss and his repeated appearances at events, MMA Joey argues that hosting a fight card at the White House cannot be separated from politics. Pointing to the multiple criminal allegations that Trump faces, the analyst refuses to accept Dana White’s recent statements claiming that the event is not political.

At this point, it’s less about whether the event will happen and more about what it represents. MMA Joey is popular for his bold opinions and views on UFC. Recently, he pointed out how UFC 327 failed to deliver.

White House UFC Card Debate Heats Up as Criticism From UFC 327 Fallout Continues to Build

UFC 327 faced a series of tough questions on social media after fans noticed a lack of interest around the event. This included lower ticket sales, an empty arena, fewer online viewers, etc. This was recently pointed out by MMA Joey in his recent social media post as well. He also added that Donald Trump’s involvement made things worse.

Moreover, the production around the event was heavily questioned. Joey, as well as many other fans in the comment section, believed that the promotion and hype leading up to the card were mostly built on poor AI-generated content. It lacked any personal connection.

Despite the card featuring some prominent performances, overall, the event was a massacre according to many MMA fans and veterans.
