According to Daniel Cormier, Jon Jones has turned down the huge offer to wrestle him.

The rivalry between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones is still widely considered to be the most bitter rivalry of all time in the MMA world.

Even following ‘DC’s’ retirement, the pair have found themselves surrounded by each other, and they recently spent time filming against each other in the Russian Ultimate Fighter.

Since then, talks have sparked between the pair of former UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight champions for them to compete against each other one last time.

Jones turned down 7-figure offer to wrestle Cormier according to UFC commentator

Earlier this year, Jones and the UFC had a big falling out after he was snubbed of an appearance on the White House card.

That led to ‘Bones’ calling to be released from his UFC contract, expressing that he would like to be able to fight outside of the promotion.

Following his request, Jones stated how much he would like to compete on RAF wrestling after being in attendance for Gable Steveson’s promotional debut last weekend.

Despite that, it is a wrestling match in ALF Global that Jones has been in negotiations for, with him and Cormier allegedly ‘almost confirmed’ for a huge spectacle.

However, after talks were seemingly trending in the right direction, according to Cormier, the 38-year-old has turned down a huge 7-figure offer for the wrestling match.

“Jon Jones and I, that is a 10-0 match, every single time,” Cormier said in a video on his social media.

“I know it and he knows it. Alfredo spoke about it the other day and I will tell you, he is telling you the truth, when they are trying to make a competition between Jon Jones and I come together.

“Here’s the problem, though, this is what people don’t tell you, not even Alfredo, the reality is as I told you guys before you don’t have to goad me into this wrestling match, I know for a fact I will beat him 10-0… He also knows I’m going to beat him 10-0, that’s why he won’t do it.

“The amount of money that has been offered to us to do a wrestling match is seven figures, to wrestle… I’m in all day. But again, he knows I’m going to beat him 10-0 so the stipulations start… (He wants) to do submission only… I said ‘no, I’m not gonna do it’.”

‘Bones’ is yet to respond to Cormier’s claim that he has turned down the potential wrestling match.

This isn’t the first time, though, that Jones will have rejected Cormier’s offer to wrestle. During their time coaching against each other on ALF Reality, Jones turned down ‘DC’s’ wrestling pitch after the commentator said they should both put up $50,000 for a high-stakes match.
