Jose Delgado has spent the past few weeks imagining exactly how he wants to finish Jean Silva at Noche UFC 4.

The featherweight contender steps into his first UFC main event on short notice Sept. 12 at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, replacing injured former interim champion Yair Rodriguez opposite Silva. Delgado told Sherdog his mental preparation has reached the point where the finish plays out in his mind constantly, no longer requiring any effort to conjure.

Delgado's Vision For Silva Fight Crystallizes

"Every single thought I have at this point is how to take Jean Silva out in the most spectacular of ways and I love it, man," Delgado said, per Sherdog. "I see it so damn clearly. I used to have to close my eyes to be able to see these things. I'm telling you; I can keep them open and see it right now."

Delgado previously noted the abbreviated camp actually helped his mindset, sparing him the mental fatigue of a full training cycle spent analyzing one opponent. Silva enters off back-to-back stoppage wins and carries dangerous finishing power himself.

The card streams live on Paramount Plus with the main card starting at 10 p.m. ET.
