Khamzat Chimaev pushes all limits during training camp. He was seen sparring hard with light heavyweight star Khalil Rountree, even rocking him once. Talking about that, Rountree praised Chimaev’s will to train this hard and also mentioned that “Borz” can destroy anyone.
The middleweight champion is set to face Sean Strickland at UFC 328. The fight is just days away, and before the fight, “The War Horse” said that the Chechen fighter enters every fight with one goal, and that is to completely destroy whoever is in front of him. In a recent interview with Adam Zubayraev, he said:
“I feel very confident about Khamzat and what he’s capable of against absolutely any opponent, whether it’s Sean Strickland or anybody else. Khamzat goes in there just to devour them all. I’ll be there to witness it, to Khamzat consume his opponents in the cage.”

Rountree said he has full confidence in what “Borz” can do against any opponent, whether it is Sean Strickland or anyone else. Additionally, the middleweight champion has recently signed with RAF, meaning fans will get to see Chimaev in wrestling matches, too.
Kyle Snyder, an Olympic gold medalist, once called out Khamzat Chimaev for a wrestling match at RAF. But Chimaev says facing Olympic gold medalist Snyder would be a different level. Instead, he is open to grappling with Bo Nickal at the RAF. During his recent interview with the RAF, he said:
“I could grapple Bo Nickal, but how does it make sense to wrestle an Olympic champion. I didn’t spend years in the gym doing thousands of double leg entries”

Chimaev explained that a match with Nickal makes sense because both are elite MMA wrestlers and strong grapplers. Meanwhile, the UFC has not allowed two of its fighters to wrestle, so Chimaev vs. Nickal is not possible at the RAF.
