The aftermath of the chaos at UFC 322 is still playing out, with new developments continuing to emerge.

On November 22, Islam Makhachev secured a historic win over Jack Della Maddalena at Madison Square Garden, a moment that added another milestone to his team’s resume.

But it was not just Makhachev’s performance that caught attention. His entourage also made headlines for the wrong reasons after an incident in the stands involving Dillon Danis.

They got into a brawl that led to several people being removed from the arena, and while Dana White later stated that the UFC would not be pursuing charges, New York City Mayor Eric Adams has made it clear there will be further consequences.

Mayor Adams responds to MSG brawl with investigation update

White wasted no time in banning Dillon Danis from future UFC events, a decision he announced during the post-fight press conference.

Magomed Zaynukov was one of several people seen throwing punches during the altercation. He has not shown any remorse for his actions and believes Danis got off lightly considering some of his previous remarks.

The 30-year-old, who only signed his UFC deal last month, could face serious consequences if the Mayor’s actions affect his ability to compete in the US.

Adams addressed the situation on X (formerly Twitter), posting footage of the brawl along with a statement.

“These assaults at Madison Square Garden are completely unacceptable. The NYPD is already conducting a full investigation, and everyone responsible will be held accountable,” he wrote.

Conor McGregor faced a possible 12 criminal charges following a similar altercation in New York

The recent UFC 322 brawl draws its roots from Conor McGregor’s heated rivalry with Khabib Nurmagomedov, which led to one of the most anticipated fights in MMA history.

Even with lingering doubts about McGregor’s future inside the Octagon, what unfolded at UFC 223 back in 2018 seemed to confirm he was far from finished.

‘The Notorious’, was facing up to 12 criminal charges after he attacked a bus in Brooklyn while confronting Nurmagomedov.

However, a plea agreement allowed McGregor to avoid significant punishment, requiring only five days of community service and an anger management course.
