Sometimes, the rubber meets the road. This time, Drew Dober just happened to be on the wrong end of a horrible stoppage.

Miguel Torres pummeled Drew Dober into submission.

Dober was a fan-favorite for this fight, he had an advantage over Torres before being on the receiving end of a barrage of hammerfits.

Fans were upset at the stoppage, but Dober remained calm and cordial.

A day after the loss, Dober took to his social media to give props to Miguel Torres for his finish.

“Well, that sucked,” Dober remarked on X.

Dober continued, “A beautifully timed one-two by Manuel Torres. There’s not much to go off of other than, unfortunately, stepping in front of the rear hand of a long power puncher.”

In another post, Dober said, “As much as I love Mexico City, It’s given me two of my most embarrassing losses of my career, haha. But the food and people are still the best. I’m happy and healthy and excited to be a stay-at-home dad for a while.”

Dober’s other ‘embarrassing’ loss came at the hands of Efrain Escudero within a minute into the first round in June 2015.

Dober’s UFC Mexico City defeat marks his third loss in a row – his longest losing streak in 43 professional fights.
