The UFC Vancouver prelims had a violent ending.
The UFC returns to Canada with a 13-fight card headlined by a top contender fight at middleweight between Reinier de Ridder and Brendan Allen.
In the featured prelim of the night, Ontario’s Kyle Prepolec crossed paths with American fan-favorite Drew Dober.
Dober got no love from the Canadian fans after he had a point taken away from him in the final round of their lightweight fight.
Dober was booed by the crowd following a low blow to Prepolec in the third round.
Dober and Prepolec were likely tied up after two rounds of action, which saw Dober’s leg badly cut open.
Prepolec took his time recovering from Dober’s low blow, taking a little less than a five-minute break before they resumed the fight.
Despite the strike being unintentional, Dober was deducted a point by the referee.
With a few minutes to go in the round, Dober quickly pressed Prepolec on the feet where he started to put his punches together.
Dober knocked Prepolec’s mouthpiece out of his mouth en route to a ferocious standing TKO finish.
“Dober unleashed hell and got the finish,” UFC commentator Brendan Fitzgerald said on the broadcast.

Not many fighters fall to 0-4 in the Octagon.
Kyle Prepolec went 0-2 in his first UFC stint back in 2019.
The Canadian failed in his eventual return to the promotion, losing by submission at the hand of Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC 315.
This TKO loss to Dober brings Prepolec to 0-4 in the UFC.
