After getting into a brawl with Arman Tsarukyan after RAF 06, Georgio Poullas accused Tsarukyan of having short temper issues. Now the rematch is set between Poullas and the Armenian fighter, and former UFC champ Kamaru Usman warns the American wrestler not to take Tsarukyan lightly.

Usman warned the 27-year-old not to underestimate Arman Tsarukyan ahead of their rematch. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ suggested Poullas may have taken Tsarukyan lightly the first time, thinking he could just outwrestle him, but now he should know better. In the recent Pound 4 Pound show, the former welterweight champ said:

“Hopefully Poulas actually went and did his homework, because I think he probably thought, ‘Oh, he’s just an MMA fighter, I’m going to go out there and take him down.’ Hopefully now he’s understood that Arman Tsarukyan is for real.

He also added that Tsarukyan brings an intense, unpredictable edge to the fight. Usman expects a much more competitive and serious matchup this time around. But MMA stars believe this time the security will be stronger as the RAF team doesn’t want another brawl.

Ben Askren Says They Need Extra Security for Arman Tsarukyan vs. Georgio Poullas Rematch

Ben Askren says no chances are being taken for the rematch between Arman Tsarukyan and Georgio Poullas after their last chaotic encounter. Following the brawl at RAF 06, Askren revealed there will be tighter control this time with extra security. In a recent interview with MMA Fighting, the UFC veteran said:

“There’s going to be extra security. We cannot let what happened last time – the chaotic fight – happen. We can’t let that happen. We’ve got to keep it more under control. The referees are going to be coached up. This will not get out of hand. It will be tighter than the last time.”

The rematch is set for March 28 at RAF 7, and with tensions already high and both fighters going at each other on social media, the Armenian fighter is again aiming to mark his win at RAF as he’s out of action in the UFC. Additionally, fans are also waiting for his UFC return.
