Former two-weight champion Henry Cejudo is not done with MMA yet, it seems, booking a surprise end-of-year comeback.
In the midst of a three-fight losing skid for the first time in his career, former dual-weight champion Henry Cejudo has been sidelined since his controversial loss to Song Yadong earlier this year.
That loss came on the back of a prior title eliminator defeat to current bantamweight kingpin Merab Dvalishvili and a return loss to former champion Aljamain Sterling.
And set to fight down the rankings for the first time in years in his bantamweight return, Cejudo will draw a Contender Series product.
Set to feature on the undercard of UFC 323 in the final pay-per-view event of the year, Olympic gold medalist Cejudo will welcome the charge of the up-and-coming Payton Talbott.
Rebounding from his first career loss in an upset defeat to perennial contender Raoni Barcelos at UFC 311 at the beginning of the year, Talbott was forced the distance in a decision win over the game Felipe Lima this summer.
However, although Talbott is currently unranked, Cejudo will put his status as the number 10-rated bantamweight on the line in a surprise return in December.
Dana White just announced UFC 323 on December 6th in Las Vegas:

As well as the above-mentioned return of Dvalishvili in a title rematch with Petr Yan, the flyweight crown is also up for grabs at the year-end UFC 323 card.
Brazilian megastar Alexandre Pantoja will return in a co-main event setting against the surging Joshua Van, fresh from his Fight of the Year contender against Brandon Royval.
Initially hanging up his gloves after his resounding win over former champion Dominick Cruz five years ago, Cejudo returned to fight the previously mentioned Sterling.
However, off the back of his gruesome eye-poke against Yadong earlier this year, the Arizona native revealed he had briefly considered calling time on his career again due to the nature of the injury.
