Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill went after boxers on social media this week, calling them "limited fighters" after viral sparring footage showed King Green dropping a boxing prospect at Adrien Broner's gym.
Hill posted his comments following the clip's spread across platforms, with MMA Mania reporting that the ex-champion appeared frustrated by criticism from the boxing community. Green's performance in the session sparked debate between MMA and boxing fans about the crossover between sports.
"Y'all are limited fighters," Hill wrote, addressing boxers who reportedly called the session unfair. The light heavyweight contender suggested that boxers who train only stand-up are at a disadvantage when facing mixed martial artists with multiple skills.
Green, a UFC lightweight, has built a reputation for sharp boxing inside the octagon. The footage showed him landing clean combinations and dropping his sparring partner during what appeared to be a technical session at the Cincinnati gym.
Hill has been out of action since losing the 205-pound title earlier this year. No return date has been announced for his next appearance.
