Since his emergence in the UFC in 2024, the Brazilian has rapidly become a favorite amongst the fans for his extremely marketable personality and fan-friendly fight style.

However, with his personality being so out there, it does have potential to open him up to problems in the future.

And one of those problems could come with UFC middleweight contender Paulo Costa. Ahead of his fight on Saturday, Silva has bizarrely targeted Costa in a callout.

“We can’t explain that, man. Sometimes the energy just doesn’t match, just different people, different natures, different character and that’s just how it is, it’s always been that way my whole life, if I don’t like you I just say it to your face,” Silva told Full Send MMA.

“And like, Borrachinha (Costa), I just don’t like him very much but he’s a huge different weight class, I’m never gonna fight him but in the streets all bets are off. F— Paulo Costa,” Silva continued.

The reason for Silva’s hatred for Costa is unknown with the two separated by several weight classes.

Just like Silva, Costa is one of the most outspoken fighters on the UFC roster and it didn’t take him long to react to Silva’s callout towards him.

“You little dwarf pendejo naughty little child you’re so small for me,” Costa responded in a post on X.
