Joe Rogan once said that the best kicker in the UFC had a massive hole in his game, exploited by an icon.

In his lengthy time in combat sports, the popular podcaster has been around some truly formidable athletes.

Rogan claims Yoel Romero truly freaks him out, and has waxed lyrical about Jon Jones on more than one occasion.

However, when it comes to kicks, one mixed martial artist has impressed him more than any other.

Joe Rogan said Yair Rodriguez got exposed by Frankie Edgar

Joe Rogan once opened up about just how highly he rates Yair Rodriguez.

However, he claimed that Frankie Edgar exposed a flaw in his game.

In an old episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, he said: “Yair has some of the best kicks I’ve ever seen inside the octagon.

“Remember when he threw that against B.J. Penn, hit him with a 360-degree roundhouse kick to the head — crazy s— to pull off in a fight.

“Yair was a beast, and everybody was thinking he was on a short path to the title.

“But the big hole was that wrestling. It was exposed by how good Frankie is and how nasty his ground and pound is.

“It was a major beatdown. That’s one of those fights where you go, ‘It’s all about styles’.

“What Frankie did was completely impose his game, just drag him down and beat him up.”

Joe Rogan recalls worrying moment a group of street thugs threatened to rob him

Rodriguez has clearly earned Rogan’s respect.

Like the Mexican, the broadcaster has some fantastic kicks of his own.

And on occasion, his skill set has come in very handy.

In a frightening turn of events, a group of thugs threatened to rob Rogan.
