Joe Rogan is continuing to campaign for this matchup.

The UFC’s planned event at the White House in 2026 continues to feature prominently in discussions ahead of the new year, especially after President Donald Trump’s latest remarks.

Trump is predicting eight to nine title fights at the celebratory event on June 14, a claim that comes after UFC CEO Dana White insisted the card would be the most “spectacular” ever put on by his promotion.

There remain no fights confirmed for the lineup, but the UFC is not short on ready and willing options. A host of big stars have called for a spot, including both Conor McGregor and Jon Jones.

And Rogan thinks it would be a huge mistake by White to exclude one of those names…

Joe Rogan pleads with Dana White to let Jon Jones fight at the White House

White has publicly rejected Jones’ comeback plans multiple times in recent months. According to the UFC president, the former heavyweight and light heavyweight champion is too unreliable for the White House event.

While Rogan initially backed White’s stance on Jones, he has since urged the boss to make a U-turn and book ‘Bones’ against Alex Pereira in Washington D.C.

The longtime color commentator reiterated that hope during the latest episode of his JRE MMA Show, featuring middleweight contender Brendan Allen as a guest.

Rogan went as far as to suggest that it would be a “travesty” to omit Jones from the White House card.

“If they don’t do Jon Jones at the White House, I think it would be a travesty,” Rogan said. “They need to do that. Come on!

“Dana’s like, ‘You can’t count on him.’ You can f—- count on him. Come on, stop.

“At the White House? Come on,” he added.

Joe Rogan suffers controversial Golden Globes snub

Away from his work as a color commentator on UFC pay-per-view broadcasts, Rogan continues to host his popular podcast.

2025 has been another successful year for the Joe Rogan Experience, which was the most listened to podcast on Apple, Spotify, and YouTube.

But taking the crown on all three platforms was not enough for Rogan to earn a Golden Globes nomination. There was no place for JRE on the six-podcast list of nominees, and that omission has divided opinion on social media.

While Sydney Sweeney joined Rogan on the sidelines, having missed out for her performance in the Christy Martin biopic, there was a nomination for a different combat sports movie.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was widely praised for his portrayal of Mark Kerr in The Smashing Machine, and he has received a nomination for best performance by a male actor in a drama category.
