Jon Jones has claimed that the production of Most Valuable Promotions’ debut event was better than the UFC.

Legendary two-weight world champion Jones made a brief but memorable appearance on the broadcast, working the desk after Francis Ngannou’s vicious knockout of Philipe Lins.

Most notably, he claimed that the only promotion who could make such a fight happen was MVP, and that he wants out of his UFC contract. He has since spoken more on the idea, telling Denise White he was impressed by every aspect of the promotion.

After making an appearance on the Netflix broadcast on Saturday night, Jon Jones spent some time with his publicist Denise White, who shared a series of videos to her Instagram stories. There, he made some big claims about the UFC and his interest in working with MVP.

“I thought the MVP promotion was absolutely unbelievable,” he admitted. “I think it was actually better than the UFC, I’ve never been at such a promotion where they had the fog machines and TVs absolutely everywhere, as well as great fighters.

“Half the audience came out to see Nate Diaz win, but both guys are my close personal friends so it was bittersweet… I thought that Ronda did absolutely unbelievable, she did exactly what I thought she would do and won in less than a minute.

“It was 17 seconds, her judo and her jiu-jitsu is something that she has put years into and all of the other girls to this day are still so far behind.”

In a later video, Jones discussed whether or not he would fight again, telling White: “I don’t know, I think getting out of my UFC contract is very possible. I need to find the right people and go through the right channels or just put more effort into it.”
