Jon Jones wanted to clarify a few things after responding to fans on social media.

The dispute between Jones and the UFC over him not returning at the White House card in June led to the former champion calling for his release.

Joe Rogan recently said that he helped Jones get stem cell treatment to deal with the arthritis in his hip that Dana White said is why ‘Bones’ retired last year.

The consensus greatest of all time was serious about coming back, and he recently shared details of why the two parties couldn’t come to an agreement.

Jon Jones was willing to take less than $30m to return, but UFC wouldn’t budge on $15m offer

While Alex Pereira is still confident that he’ll get to fight Jon Jones later down the line, the White House card in June was the target that both men had in mind.

It was reported earlier this month that Jones was offered nearly half of the money he turned down to fight Tom Aspinall last year when he was in talks with the UFC about coming out of retirement to face ‘Poatan’.

‘Bones’ confirmed this in a post on X, where he explained that while he was prepared to take less money than he was offered in 2025, the UFC stuck to a $15 million price tag.

“Was ready, willing and physically able to step in,” he wrote. “I was willing to take substantially less than the Aspinall ask but they wouldn’t budge one dollar over $15m. I felt like our fight was worth more.”

The outcome of these negotiations has left Jones very frustrated with the way Dana White spoke about it to the media.

Pereira, on the other hand, recently said that he was willing to do whatever the UFC wanted, including vacating his light heavyweight title, after signing a new 8-fight deal that he was very happy with.
