Jon Jones has revealed the financial details behind the collapse of a potential superfight with Alex Pereira at the UFC’s historic White House card, claiming the promotion refused to budge over $15 million.

The former two-division champion took to social media on Saturday to disclose the numbers, shedding light on the failed negotiations that ultimately led to him being left off the June 14 card. The revelation comes just weeks after the UFC announced that Pereira would instead face Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title at the event, officially titled UFC Freedom 250.

According to Jones, he was prepared to accept a significant pay cut compared to his previous asking price for a Tom Aspinall fight, but the two sides could not bridge the gap.

Through his social media activity, Jones has revealed the contentious nature of the negotiations for the White House event.

Feud With Dana White

The public disclosure has reignited a bitter feud with UFC CEO Dana White, who has vehemently denied that Jones was ever seriously considered for the card. White has repeatedly stated that the former champion was not in his plans for the June 14 event in Washington, D.C.

"Never, ever, ever, which I told you guys 100,000 times was Jon Jones even remotely in my mind to fight at the White House," White said following UFC 326 (via UFC on TNT Sports on X):

The UFC executive cited Jones' history of pulling out of fights and concerns over the fighter’s arthritic hips as reasons for his stance.

Jones, however, has fiercely pushed back against that narrative, insisting that real negotiations took place. He previously stated he was "lowballed" by the UFC and even requested his release from the promotion following White’s public comments.

Addressing his physical condition, Jones dismissed claims that his hip issues made him unfit to compete. He revealed he received stem cell treatment specifically to prepare for the White House card and questioned the logic of White’s argument.

"Yes, I have arthritis in my hip and it’s painful, but that doesn’t mean I can’t fight," Jones wrote on now-deleted posts on X. "So let me get this straight, if I had accepted the lowball offer, suddenly my hip would be fine and I’d be on the White House card? That doesn’t make sense."

Yesterday, Jones even issued a challenge to UFC roster despite the injuries he is dealing with:

The fallout has led to a complete breakdown in the relationship between the promotion and its most decorated champion. With Jones now publicly asking for his release, his future with the organization remains uncertain.

UFC White House Carries On

In the absence of the Jones-Pereira superfight, the UFC White House card will be headlined by a lightweight title unification bout between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje. The event is scheduled to take place on the South Lawn on June 14, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States.

White has even hinted at attendance logistics for the event, claiming that he will be giving away free tickets to 85,000 people to watch the event live at the Ellipse, an area across the street from the White House’s South Lawn.
