‘The Incredible Hok’ continues to antagonize Alex Pereira ahead of UFC White House.
The two UFC heavyweights have different foes to focus on for the celebratory June 14 event in Washington D.C.
Before Pereira battles Ciryl Gane for the division’s interim title in his attempt to make history as a triple champion, Hokit will fight Derrick Lewis in his fourth UFC outing.
Despite being booked against ‘The Black Beast’, it is ‘Poatan’ who has borne the brunt of Hokit’s schtick in recent times, and that shows no sign of waning.
With Pereira gearing up for his UFC heavyweight debut, Hokit has been repeatedly targeting the former light heavyweight and middleweight champion.
That was most evident on stage at the UFC Freedom 250 press conference in May. Hokit was removed from the presser in Newark after his trash talk at ‘Poatan’ led to a confrontation with Ilia Topuria, who attempted to defend the Brazilian star.
The American 29-year-old has continued hyping up a potential fight with the interim heavyweight title challenger down the line. His most recent jabs included question marks over Pereira’s inability to speak English.
Hokit has accused Pereira of faking that to avoid having to respond to his trash talk.
That’s evidently why the former American football player turned up to a recent interview with TMZ Sports and responded to questions with nothing but Pereira’s popular phrase…
TMZ Sports’ own @mikejbabcock sat down with what was thought to be a normal interview with UFC star Josh Hokit… well, let’s just say it got out of hand fast. pic.twitter.com/SXBfUa363G

His ‘translator’ then provided the real answers, but the interview ended abruptly after Hokit refused to budge from his ‘chama’ stance.
When the bizarre exchange was posted on social media, Hokit explained his actions by once again mocking Pereira.
“So easy to act stupid and say CHAMA woah,” Hokit wrote on X.
It could be a heated week in Washington D.C. ahead of the UFC event on the White House lawn.
UFC security will need to be on alert when Hokit comes within close proximity of Pereira and Topuria once again.
The rising heavyweight will no doubt have his polarizing persona in tow, as he looks to steal headlines ahead of the promotion’s biggest event of 2026 so far.
