Earlier this week, newly confirmed FBI Director Kash Patel stated that he'd like to call on the UFC to assist in training agents. Former interim lightweight champion and onetime 'BMF' titleholder Justin Gaethje is willing to step up to the call.
"I think he views us - I think there's much more skilled people, but I've got no kids, no wife, so if he needs somebody to go out there and serve some justice, I would love to be apart of that team," Gaethje told TMZ Sports.
"I think if they're in a hand to hand combat situation, sh*t has gone wrong. These guys have guns and they shoot pretty damn good. That's the first option, but obviously if you're clearing houses and sh*t you're going to run into some situations like that. I mean, I would love to be part of, any part of that," continued Gaethje.
"I love representing this country. I can't wait to fly this flag walking to the octagon. It's been a while since I've been proud to be an American. We're back there. I'm excited to represent this country and anytime anybody at that position needs my help I'm more than willing."
Before signing up to join the FBI, Gaethje rematches Rafael Fiziev in the UFC 313 co-main event on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Gaethje and Fiziev first fought at UFC 286 in March 2023. Gaethje narrowly defeated "Ataman" by majority decision and now they'll run it back nearly two years later.
