Khamzat Chimaev is not taking Sean Strickland’s brand of trash talk lightly, and it could spell trouble going into fight week.

A line in the sand has been drawn by the controversial American, who has promised to show up armed to UFC 328 fight week and insists that he will be forcing a meeting with Chimaev. The pair have no love lost, and have sparred together in the past before becoming opponents.

Strickland is one of the most outspoken fighters on the UFC roster, and has been particularly abrasive when it comes to Chimaev. He regularly goes wildly far in his pre-fight trash talk, which seems to have come to a head this time around,

Khamzat Chimaev hits back at Sean Strickland’s unhinged rant

One thing that Sean Strickland is known for, perhaps even more than fighting, is his outrageous public persona. He is regularly offensive in interviews, and recently launched a particularly crass attack on Khamzat Chimaev using X.

When Strickland was threatened with being ‘jumped’ by Chimaev and his team, he replied by writing: “This is why you are a coward. We will jump you, my muslim friends will jump you.

“You might live in America but you have no idea what its like to be an American or a man. If I ever said I’ll jump you, I wouldn’t be able to look myself in the mirror. Coward.”

He then claimed that he will be ‘in handcuffs’ through fight week after vowing to shoot any potential threats while in Newark. And Chimaev has now written back, simply saying: “You can cry that’s okey for, your father make you a girl.”

He then shared a famous old photo of Strickland with a man who is reported to be his father, but in fact is not. He captioned it: “This picture shows everything who is the man who is the girl?”
