Kiefer Crosbie Provides Important ‘Retirement’ Update

It seems, however, that all is not as it seems for Keifer Crosbie.

Keifer Crosbie Isn’t Done Fighting Yet

Big Daddy Keifer took to Instagram earlier today to clarify what his future holds. Fans of the Irishman will be pleased to find out that no, he isn’t retiring just yet (from combat sports anyway). He stated:
“Nothing but love and respect for the @ufc and I appreciate them giving me the opportunity, it’s literally been a dream come true and something I’ve envisioned since I’ve been a kid! But I would respectfully like to ask for a release. Just being real and think it’s the right call to move on from MMA and go down other roads while I’m still in my prime. Thanks to everyone for the support”

Keifer Crosbie didn’t have the easiest run in the UFC. Having debuted back in 2023, the Irishman took on Kevin Jousset in a match-up that saw him defeated in the first round. He was then matched with Sam Patterson, again losing in the first round. With the form that Patterson is in at the moment, this was always going to be a tough task.

His third and final UFC outing would see him again finished in the first round, however, this one came with huge controversy surrounding it. Originally scheduled to face Kenan Song, Crosbie was given a replacement opponent on short notice, the tough, talented and in-form Taiyilake Nueraji. Super Saiyan was dominating proceedings; however, he committed one of the worst and most blatant fouls we’ve seen in recent times. Crosbie received a brutal knee as he was grounded, instantly splitting him open. Nueraji went on to finish him shortly after the fight was restarted.

This didn’t sit well with Kiefer Crosbie at all, who took to social media to call out referee Mark Goddard for his supposed inadequacies.

What’s Next for Crosbie?

As his Instagram post suggests, Kiefer Crosbie isn’t done yet. We’ve seen him box influencer Aaron Chalmers for the promotion ‘Kingpyn‘, so a return to the influencer boxing scene could be possible. He’s a big personality, talented and committed. Misfits Boxing could do worse than getting Crosbie’s signature.

There’s also an opportunity for Crosbie to transition into bare-knuckle boxing. His former training partner and teammate, Conor McGregor, is part-owner of BKFC, so there is certainly an option there.

Whatever happens, Kiefer Crosbie always comes to fight, is entertaining and will always sell a fight. His signature will be highly sought after.
