Bobby Green had a field day with Esteban Ribovics missing weight Friday morning at the UFC 332 official weigh-ins.
Ribovics came in at 156.5 pounds for their lightweight bout on Saturday's main card in Salt Lake City, forfeiting 20% of his purse to Green. The miss marks the first time the Argentine has failed to make championship weight in his UFC run, according to BJ Penn.com.
Green wasted no time celebrating the infraction during a KICK stream shortly after the weigh-ins wrapped. "My opponent was nowhere to be seen! I'm getting that 20 percent! I want it in $1 bills. Imma bring it all back to my girls in the club," he said, per BJ Penn.com. "They always have these excuses — I took this fight on four weeks' notice too!"
The bout remains on for Saturday's card, which is headlined by a Natalia Silva-Wang Cong vacant flyweight title fight. Green enters looking to extend a four-fight winning streak that includes recent stoppage wins over Jeremy Stephens and Daniel Zellhuber, plus a decision over Terrance McKinney at UFC 329.
Green and Ribovics are expected to deliver one of the most entertaining scraps of the night when they meet inside the Octagon at UFC 332.
