Merab Dvalishvili is racking up an impressive streak of victories, but he still has a long way to go before he can boast the longest streak of wins in UFC history.
The UFC Bantamweight champion is preparing for a huge fight at UFC 320, when Merab Dvalishvili defends his belt against Cory Sandhagen in a blockbuster co-main event.
Dvalishvili will be hoping to add to his impressive winning streak and move him closer towards the greatest streak in UFC history, which is held by arguably the greatest champion in company history.
However, his last win only took him to joint fourth in the table, alongside some of the biggest legends in UFC history.
With his victory over Sean O’Malley, his second in less than a year, Dvalishvili joined an exclusive club of fighters boasting a 13-fight winning streak in the UFC.
The Georgian choked out O’Malley with a north-south choke, defending his UFC Bantamweight title for the second time since winning it from “Suga” in 2024.
Fighter | Winning streak |
Jon Jones | 13 |
Demetrious Johnson | 13 |
Georges St-Pierre | 13 |
Khabib Nurmagomedov | 13 |
Max Holloway | 13 |
Merab Dvalishvili | 13 |
He is in good company with that record, as Dvalishvili jumped over names like Amanda Nunes and Alexander Volkanovski to become the joint-4th winningest fighter in UFC history.
Dvalishvili matches legends like Georges St-Pierre, Jon Jones, and Khabib Nurmagomedov with his 13-fight win streak, although his goal will be to clear them all at UFC 320.
Two wins clear of Dvalishvili is Kamaru Usman, the former UFC Welterweight champion and one of the most impressive fighters in UFC history.
From his debut in 2015 to losing his world title, Kamaru Usman won 15 fights in a row, decimating the Welterweight field in a series of impressive wins over the top contenders.
His streak, which included wins over Colby Covingington, Gilbert Burns, and Jorge Masvidal, ended at the hands of Leon Edwards, who spoiled Usman’s legendary title run after five defenses.
Usman recently picked up his first win since 2021 and looks to build another impressive streak as he aims to climb the ranks and win the UFC Welterweight title once again.
In his last fight, Islam Makhachev broke the record for the most consecutive defenses of the UFC Lightweight title and matched Usman’s streak of 15 victories without reply.
The Russian fighter is considered an all-time great at Lightweight, as wins over Dustin Poirier and Alexander Volkanovski proved.
Using his world-class wrestling skills and training within the legendary Dagestani fight culture, he has blown away all pretenders to his crown as one of the greatest fighters in the world.
His last win over Renato Moicano marked the 15th of Makhachev’s career. He still has the opportunity to increase his streak, having vacated his belt without losing it in the octagon, with the chance to match another legend with the longest winning streak in UFC history.
13 years since he broke the record with his 16th win in a row, nobody has managed to match what the legendary Anderson Silva has done in the octagon.
“The Spider” is one of the greatest fighters of all time, spending 2457 days as UFC Middleweight champion, a record which has yet to be broken.
During that time, he accumulated an impressive winning streak, going 16 fights without defeat against some of the toughest fighters in the division.
Wins over big names like Forrest Griffin, Dan Henderson, and Chael Sonnen (x2) cemented him as an all-time great and earned him the longest winning streak in UFC history.
