Francis Ngannou allegedly crashed his motorbike, killing female Ntsama Brigitte Manuella in a tragic accident.
According to reports, this occurred in Yaoundé, Cameroon, as Ngannou’s bike hit the deceased while she was making her way home. Ngannou apparently took her to the General Hospital of Yaoundé. That is where Manuella underwent emergency surgery on her leg and arm. Unfortunately, this was not successful, as she passed away. Ngannou has not confirmed these reports, nor has the PFL.

The news raises serious question marks over where Ngannou goes next. He made his PFL debut last October in his first MMA fight since leaving the UFC in 2023. He stopped Renan Ferreira in the first round to become the PFL Heavyweight Champion. That victory also followed up on serious setbacks after he had suffered two consecutive defeats in his boxing bouts against Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
The Fury fight was a controversial split decision loss after he had dropped The Gypsy King in the third round. Many in the boxing community believed Ngannou had been deprived of a win. Meanwhile, the fight against Joshua was far less successful. Ngannou was knocked out in the second round. However, those two fights earned him a reported $30 million, which was more than his entire UFC career earnings combined.
The Predator has been linked with another boxing bout against Deontay Wilder. However, this latest incident now raises serious questions over the Predator’s mindset. He also had to overcome the tragic passing of his son, Kobe, which occurred before he made his PFL debut. Given that Ngannou has been through many struggles, fans are understandably concerned about the fighter.
“You get back in the apartment and see all his toys, the stuff that he was playing [with], the things that you took from him the other day and put here, it’s right there but he’s not there anymore and will never be there anymore.
“If they ask you what do you want or what can comfort you, you don’t know. It’s nothing. It’s really about facing it daily, take it one at a time. At least whenever I die, I’m going to go see my kid. I’m going to see him. I’m not afraid of [death]. I still want to live, but when you get to that point, to think like that. So for some way, you’re looking forward for whenever that happens,” Ngannou said
