Tom Nolan wants Mateusz Gamrot next after finishing Renato Moicano at UFC Vegas 123.
The Australian lightweight named the former KSW champion as his preferred opponent in a post-fight interview with UFC on Paramount Plus. Nolan said Gamrot's approach would present the kind of challenge he needs to keep improving at 155 pounds.
"I would like to fight Gamrot if I could pick one," Nolan said, per Sherdog. "I think he has an awesome style." He compared the potential matchup to his preparation for Moicano, which forced technical adjustments in camp. "Yeah, I think it would force me to upgrade," he added. "Like, I had to get better for this fight."
Nolan, who recently moved from Australia to City Kickboxing in New Zealand, said he will not rush into the booking. He plans to return to his new team and consult with coaches before making any final decisions on his next opponent.
The 26-year-old stopped Moicano in the third round at UFC Vegas 123, handing the Brazilian veteran his first loss inside the distance since 2017. Gamrot, ranked seventh at lightweight, last fought in June when he dropped a decision to Diego Ferreira.
