ONE Championship: Panpayak Jitmuangnon Vs. Asadula Imangazaliev Preview

ONE Championship will feature a flyweight Muay Thai clash between Panpayak Jitmuangnon and Asadula Imangazaliev at ONE Friday Fights 122 on August 29, as we preview the fight.

Panpayak, a seven-time Muay Thai World Champion, brings a vast amount of experience to the ring. He is coming off a third-round stoppage victory over Majid Seydali in May and has won two of his last three fights, showing that despite his long career, he is still a major threat.

Standing in his way is the dangerous Asadula Imangazaliev. The Russian fighter has a perfect professional record of 5-0 with ONE Championship, and has a reputation as a finisher. In his last fight, he secured a second-round knockout of Denphuthai SitJackmuaythai, demonstrating his devastating power.

Pre-Fight

“When ONE offered me this fight against Asadula, I immediately accepted the fight. I’ve never been a picky person. I’m ready to fight anyone ONE Championship puts in front of me. For this fight, I think the promotion is putting me to test him, to see if he’s good enough to earn a ONE contract. I have to admit, it’s a very challenging fight because I’ve never faced an opponent this big with such long reach weapons before.

“I’m not completely satisfied with my performance in the last three fights. But I’m confident I’ll do much better in this one. Ever since my injury healed, I’ve been training consistently, and I feel like my body is in the best shape. “From my fight with Egor [Bikrev], I learned a lot about defense. I want to make sure the same thing doesn’t happen again. I wasn’t hitting hard enough, but when you’re facing a fast Russian fighter like him, you have to hit hard to scare them off,” Panpayak said
