A shocking incident at the KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy in Los Angeles has left the wrestling and MMA communities stunned after Raja Jackson, son of former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, was caught on video repeatedly striking an apparently unconscious opponent.
The widely circulated livestream footage shows the 25-year-old Jackson climbing into the ring, body-slamming professional wrestler Stuart “Syko Stu” Smith, and unleashing more than 20 punches to his head. Smith appeared unresponsive during much of the attack. Other wrestlers eventually intervened to separate Jackson, who fled the facility before police arrived.
So after #RajaJackson and @SykoStu made up, after an apology, this guy #AJMana goes to #Raja and tells him to give #SykoStu a receipt (which means a real payback for something someone did) for the beer can WORK (means planned/scripted). What a POS! He instigated it all! PLEASE… pic.twitter.com/O4qQieDjRI

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the incident, TMZ reported. KnokX Pro released a statement condemning Jackson’s behavior. Describing it as “a selfish, irresponsible act of violence… reprehensible and never should have occurred.” The academy said it is monitoring Smith’s health.
Smith, a U.S. military veteran who has used wrestling to manage PTSD, was reportedly left unconscious during the assault. Rampage Jackson later posted on social media that Smith is “awake and stable” but acknowledged the situation got out of hand.
Rampage explained that the confrontation was initially part of a scripted storyline gone wrong, stemming from an earlier backsta ge altercation in which Smith allegedly struck Raja in the head.
“Raja was told he could get his payback in the ring. I thought it was part of the show… It was bad judgment, and a work that went wrong,” Rampage wrote. He added that his son had recently suffered a concussion in sparring and “had no business involved in an event like this.”
Without a doubt this was a situation of egos getting the best of individuals and the situation spiraling out of control. There are multiple moving parts to this story. Hopefully everyone involved can learn from this. Things could have gotten way more serious than they did. So hopefully everybody can learn from this. Everything about this was preventable.
