Rivera Delivers Fourth-Round KO At BKFC 95

Former UFC bantamweight Jimmie Rivera stopped Brandon Meyer with a left hook in the fourth round at BKFC 95 in Newark this past Saturday.

Rivera backed Meyer toward the ropes, closed the distance, and connected with a clean left hook that sent Meyer face-first to the canvas. The referee waved off the fight at 46 seconds of the fourth round, per MMA Mania. The New Jersey native fought in front of his hometown crowd at the Prudential Center.

Rivera's BKFC Record Now 4-2-1

The finish marked Rivera's second knockout win in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship and improved his record in the promotion to 4-2-1. He has now won consecutive fights since a doctor-stoppage loss to Jeremy Stephens at BKFC 56 in December 2023.

Rivera last competed in mixed martial arts in 2021, when he dropped a decision to Pedro Munhoz. He has since faced several familiar names in bare-knuckle, including Stephens and former Bellator champion Daniel Straus.

Rivera's knockout was one of three violent finishes on the main card. Tony Soto dropped his opponent with a left hook in the fight before Rivera, while Cole Cameron stopped former Contender Series alumnus Phil Caracappa in his BKFC debut.
