The final spot has been confirmed for Most Valuable Promotion’s first MMA event.
Earlier this week, the full card was announced for Ronda Rousey vs Gina Carano at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
The inclusion of Nate Diaz making his MMA return on May 16 is sure to be a huge draw for fans across the board but especially in this area.
Another member of the Diaz army will also be fighting on this card now that his opponent has been confirmed several days after the initial line-up was revealed.
While Most Valuable Promotions listed the 11 matchups that will be taking place on Netflix in May, there was one spot that was left as ‘to be confirmed’.
Chris Avila will be joining his teammate Nate Diaz on the card having previously fought on the undercard of the former UFC star’s boxing matches in recent years.
MVP announced earlier today that former UFC fighter Brandon Jenkins will be the one facing Avila in the opening bout of the night at a catchweight of 165 pounds.
Jenkins suffered back-to-back losses inside the Octagon before recently competing for promotions like Karate Combat and Jorge Masvidal’s Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA.
Avila also recorded consecutive defeats in the UFC before recently committing to boxing, making his upcoming bout his first MMA fight since 2021.
