The highly expected boxing clash between KSI and his rival Dillon Danis has been postponed after KSI falling ill. The episode was initially booked for March 29, 2025, at Manchester Arena, though, KSI announced he has been of poor health for three weeks and cannot contest.
Misfits Boxing has established that a new date for the match will be disclosed next week. This follows a preceding cancellation where Danis withdrew just before their earlier planned clash in 2023.
In a video clip posted on social media, KSI noted his body was “literally just giving up” and that he was in bed, coughing, and taking antibiotics. He also added that he wanted to “move the fight to another day.”
“I cough up green and yellow gunk all the time. My sinuses hurt so much that I need ibuprofen every day. The tension headaches I suffer from are more painful than you can imagine. Basically, I'm screwed. I've been sick for almost three weeks and I haven't gotten any better," said KSI in the video he shared in social media.
“I still want to knockout Dillon Danis,” said KSI. “I didn’t train this hard for nothing,” he said.
KSI (4-1, 3 KOs, 1 NC) of London, England native has been out of the ring since dropping a unanimous verdict to Tommy Fury in October 2023.
At the Misfits Boxing 21 launch press conference and build up in Manchester in early March, KSI spanked Dillon Danis with a pancake.
Meanwhile, Dillon Danis has weighed in on the issue of KSI illness. He has lashed out at KSI, to the level of doubting whether the content creator is really sick.
"I remember my first cold"."Hahahahahahahahaha f***""He played in a charity football match two weeks ago, but has been "sick for three weeks," he posted.
"I feel bad for all the fighters on the card and for the fans who bought tickets. Logan Paul, support your boyfriend who pulled out with a cold and let's save the show, and everyone's time and money," Dillon posted.
On his side, KSI only responded with a 'tweet' clarifying that the bout is not ruled out for the future: "I'm not avoiding you, jerk. It's postponed. Your punishment is just being delayed," he posted.
On the other hand, Dillon Danis (0-1 boxing, 2-0 MMA) of Parsippany–Troy Hills, New Jersey, was last in action on the same card in Manchester, facing Logan Paul in a fight, which saw him being disqualified for trying a guillotine choke.
The boxer, who is not new to controversy, back in 2023, Danis urinated on an Arsenal shirt in a jibe towards KSI and he says since then he has faced death threats from fans of the club, telling him to wear a stab vest when he comes to the UK.
“Arsenal fans keep telling me to wear a stab vest. They keep saying they're going to stab me. I get like at least a thousand messages a day. Like, ‘when you come here, wear a stab vest, we're going to stab you’. But in the UK, no one ever says anything. No one's ever too crazy. Even at the press conference. Everybody had my back, even the people in the crowd, that's his territory. Even after the whole thing happened, the whole crowd was on my side,” said Dillon Danis during an interview with the Casinobeats.com.
Currently, there is no date for the bout, but what is a fact is that they will not fight
