UFC 298 Results & Video Highlights: Alexander Volkanovski vs. Ilia Topuria

Volkanovski spent UFC 298 fight week playing into Topuria’s claim that the champion's age would keep him from defending his belt for a sixth time, and “The Great” will be motivated to hand the brash challenger his first defeat following a knockout-loss to Islam Makhachev

The co-main event pits former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker against Paulo Costa, who will be stepping into the cage for the first time since UFC 278. 

“The Eraser” is still the promotion’s #6-ranked middleweight despite his inactivity, and a win over Whittaker could put the Brazilian in the conversation for a shot at recently-crowned champion Dricus Du Plessis.

The night’s stacked main card also includes top welterweight contenders Geoff Neal and Ian Machado Garry, as well as a sensational bantamweight tilt between Merab Dvalishvili and former two-division champion Henry Cejudo. Middleweights Anthony Hernandez and Roman Kopylov will kick off the PPV action.

All fighters successfully made weight ahead of UFC 298, but the card did experience one small change when Junior Tafa stepped in to replace his injured brother Justin for a heavyweight bout against Marcos Rogério de Lima.
