UFC 322 Bonuses: Main card finishers bank bonuses

UFC 322 took place on Saturday at Madison Square Garden in New York. The event was headlined by two world title fights. 

In the main event, former lightweight champion Islam Makhachev moved up to the 170-pound weight class and defeated Jack Della Maddalena to become a two-division UFC champion. In the co-main event, flyweight queen Valentina Shevchenko put on a masterful performance against former strawweight champion Zhang Weili

Following the event, UFC CEO Dana White announced the recipients of the $50,000 performance-based bonuses. 

The main card featured five fights and three of them ended in finishes. Leading into the main card, middleweight Bo Nickal rebounded from his first career loss with a stunning head kick knockout win over Rodolfo Vieira. It was enough to earn Nickal an extra $50,000.

Lightweight Benoit Saint-Denis kicked off the main card with a 16 second knockout win over Beneil Dariush. He was awarded a bonus for his efforts. 

Welterweight Carlos Prates knocked out former champion Leon Edwards in the second round to take on a bonus check. In other welterweight action, Michael Morales took out the No. 2 ranked contender Sean Brady in the first round. It was the biggest win of Morales' career and bonus worthy. 

UFC 322 took place in front of a sold out crowd of 20,664 spectators generating at $13.6 million gate, the third highest gate in Madison Square Garden history.
