The UFC closes its 2025 pay-per-view offering for ESPN at the T-Mobile Arena with a championship doubleheader, as the relentless Bantamweight champion, Merab Dvalishvili, aims for a historic fourth title defense of the year against former bantamweight king, Petr Yan, seeking a revenge win.
The pay-per-view card could be considered one of the best of the year, as it also features a Flyweight title fight between the seemingly unstoppable champion, Alexandre Pantoja, against the young and hungry challenger, Joshua Van. Outside of the explosive main and co-main bouts, UFC 323 also has a slate of fights with immediate divisional consequences and high-stakes drama that promises to end the promotion’s ESPN era with a bang.
Date: Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025
Prelims Start: 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT
Main Card Start: 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT
Main Event Start: approximately 12:30 p.m. ET/9:30 p.m. PT
The main event is a bantamweight championship rematch with high stakes for both fighters. The champion Merab Dvalishvili is attempting to make UFC history by successfully defending his title for a fourth time in 2025, a feat no champion has accomplished in a single calendar year. "The Machine" is riding a 14-fight winning streak and last fought just two months ago in a record-breaking performance against then-challenger Cory Sandhagen.
His challenger, former champion Petr Yan, is motivated by more than UFC gold. Yan has stated during the UFC 323 pre-fight press conference that he was limited by injuries in their first fight in March 2023, which Dvalishvili won by unanimous decision. Now, presumably healthy and on a three-fight winning streak, Yan aims to prove the first fight was an anomaly and reclaim the throne.
The co-main event features dominant champion Alexandre Pantoja making his customary December title defense against breakout star Joshua Van. Pantoja is on an eight-fight win streak, and has previously stated that he believes he can break Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson’s UFC record of 11 consecutive title defenses.
The 24-year-old Van, on the other hand, earned this shot with a 5-fight winning streak, including a victory just three weeks before his last fight. Astonishingly, Van had previously revealed that he only started training MMAfive years ago, making his meteoric rise all the more impressive.
In a bout with major title implications, former champion Brandon Moreno faces top Japanese prospect Tatsuro Taira in a flyweight contender bout. The winner will likely position themselves as the next challenger in the 125-pound division.
Elsewhere on the card, Olympic gold medalist and former two-division champion Henry Cejudo will make the final walk of his career against rising bantamweight prospect Payton Talbott. Cejudo, who has hinted at retirement on more than one occasion this year, recently confirmed during a pre-fight press conference that he plans to retire after this fight. While he tries to end his career on a high note, Talbott seeks the biggest win of his career.
