This week, Dana White’s promotion will return to T-Mobile Arena. To start the month of March, Max Holloway will take on Charles Oliveira to defend the BMF title in a lightweight fight. If Holloway defends it, he will become the first fighter to defend the belt twice. If not, Oliveira will become the fourth BMF title holder after Jorge Masvidal, Justin Gaethje, and Holloway.
Holloway’s recent run has seen big moments and one tough loss. At UFC 300, he knocked out Justin Gaethje with one second left. Ilia Topuria gave him the first knockout loss of his career at UFC 308. Holloway came back in July 2025, beating Dustin Poirier by unanimous decision to defend his BMF title. He is a former UFC champion with a 27–8 record, including 12 knockout wins and two submission wins.
Meanwhile, Oliveira holds a record of 36 wins and 11 losses. After losing to Ilia Topuria, he bounced back at UFC Rio by submitting Mateusz Gamrot. He holds several UFC records, including most submission wins and most finishes. Now the former UFC champion aims to add the BMF title to his name.
Talking about predictions, Holloway vs Oliveira will be a tough fight, but Holloway may have the edge. ‘Blessed’ throws more punches, keeps a high pace, and has strong cardio. If he keeps the fight standing and avoids the ground, Holloway can win by decision.
