UFC Atlanta: Middleweight Competitor Beats the Clock on Scales Friday
Per Haljestam-Imagn Images

UFC Atlanta is almost here! Friday morning, the final pre-fight exercises began with the official weigh-in window for tomorrow nights show. State Farm Arena in Atlanta is the host venue for the first visit to the Peach State since 2019.

Live coverage of UFC Atlanta begins tomorrow night at 7 pm ET/ 4 pm PT on ESPN+ inside the United States with the undercard before moving onto the main card three hours later at 10 pm ET/ 7 PM PT.

All told, after the weigh-in window this morning, every fighter booked to appear on the show tomorrow night came in either at or below the nontitle maximum for their respective divisions. The day was not without its hassles on the scales, however.

Mansur Abdul-Malik Makes Weight in Final Minutes of UFC Atlanta Weigh-In Window

Initially, Mansur Abdul-Malik, the final fighter to tip the scales on the morning, exceeded the middleweight nontitle maximum by a single pound. Upon using the box on his second attempt, he weighed-in on-target at 186 with only a few minutes left on the clock.

UFC Atlanta Main, Co-Main Events Good to Go

Beyond Abdul-Malik needing a second attempt to make weight, everything went smoothly on the scales today. Your main event of the evening is cleared for takeoff after the Friday morning weigh-in. Both Kamaru Usman (171 lbs) and Joaquin Buckley (171 lbs) made the prescribed weight earlier this morning for the welterweight headliner.

The co-main event of UFC Atlanta is also locked in for tomorrow night after Rose Namajunas (126 lbs) and Miranda Maverick (126 lbs) made the flyweight nontitle maximum.
