UFC Vegas 115 was a lot of fun for MMA lovers. The final event before UFC 327, which will feature Jiri Prochazka taking on Carlos Ulbert for the Light Heavyweight Championship, offered fans plenty of emotions.
Before Renato Moicano beat Chris Duncan by submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:14 of round 2, two female fighters shocked fans with two vicious knockouts. However, only one counted.
First, the fourth preliminary fight between Alice Pereira (the youngest fighter on the roster at 20) and Hailey Cowan ended by knockout. Pereira, 20, hit Cowan with a huge knee to end the fight at 4:24 of round 2.

Alice Pereira improved to 7-1 after the brutal knockout. She became the youngest female fighter to win a UFC fight and the youngest to score a knockout. On the other end, Cowan suffered another brutal knockout, following Maycee Barber’s frightening loss to Alexa Grasso the prior week.
She offered an update on social media, making it clear she wasn’t done.
“God is still good. I still have lots to smile about:) and I am just fine. Heartbroken, but blessed. Passion is what we do, purpose is why we do it. Thank you Jesus for the courage to do scary things and to dream big. Chin is still high. We march on,” she captioned an Instagram post.
Cowan dropped to 7-5 after the defeat.
