UFC fighter’s Instagram followers spike after a ‘wild celebration’

If we were to look at social media numbers, UFC London was most successful for several fighters.

New fighters seen a spike in their social media presence whether it be for excitement-filled take downs or jaw-dropping finishes, a moment can be pivotal when it comes to exposure to the masses.

According to MMA Gains IG, these five fighters experienced the biggest Instagram follower growth since the event:

1 – Alexia Thainara (+35K followers)

Alexia Thainara dominated in first-round submission against Molly McCann. It wasn’t just her impressive takedown that caught the attention of users, it was her post-fight celebration. The celebration resonated with social media users.

2 – Sean Brady (+33K followers)

After welterweight hopeful Brady put on a show against Leon Edwards, Brady had even casual fans taking notice after taking down Edwards with a mounted-guillotine move to force a fourth-round submission.

3 – Molly McCann (+17K followers)

Even though Molly McCann suffered defeat at the hands of Alexis Thainara, her retirement in the middle of the octagon tugged at fans heart strings.

4 – Lone’er Kavanagh (+14.8K followers)

Lone’er Kavanagh fought through adversity to get a unanimous decision win over Felipe dos Santos. A cut on the elbow made the win all the more impressive.

5 – Guram Kutateladze (+10K followers)

Despite falling to Kauê Fernandes via unanimous decision, Kutateladze’s connections to his teammates Ilia Topuria and Khamzat Chimaev are guaranteeing that fans will take notice moving forward, driving the social media buzz.
