UFC Nashville is almost here! Tomorrow night, Dana White’s promotion heads to Nashville for the first time in slightly under two years. Bridgestone Arena, home ice of the NHL’s Nashville Predators, serves as the host venue for this weekend’s MMA cavalcade. When the UFC last trekked to Nashville in 2023, Cory Sandhagen scored a unanimous decision on the scorecards (50-45, 50-45, 50-45) after five rounds in the man event, while Tatiana Suarez locked up a guillotine in the second round to stop Jessica Andrade in the co-main.

Live coverage of tomorrow night’s event begins with the prelims at 6 pm ET/ 3 pm PT before the UFC Nashville main card at 9 pm ET/ 6 pm PT. If you’re watching from inside the United States of America, the card will be seen wire-to-wire on ESPN (linear television) and ESPN+.

All told, this show features a schedule of 12 MMA bouts from the No. 1 promotion on the planet. Friday morning, the official weigh-in window for the card took place.

UFC Nashville: Undercard Welterweight Needs Second Try to Make Weight

Luckily, there was but a single hiccup on the scales earlier this morning, at least initially. Chidi Njokuani (171 1/2 lbs) was the only contestant on the card to exceed the nontitle maximum at the first time of asking, but it wasn’t by too much.

At Friday’s weigh-in, he only came in half of a pound over the 171-lb welterweight nontitle maximum, before weighing-in at 170 1/2 lbs later on. His opponent, Jake Matthews (170 1/2 lbs) weighed-in below the target.

Main and Co-Main Events of UFC Nashville Ready to Rumble After Official Weigh-In Window

Saturday’s headlining and co-headlining affairs inside Bridgestone Arena are cleared for takeoff with the close of the official weigh-in window this morning. The main attraction will pit Derrick Lewis (261 lbs) against Tallison Teixeira (259 lbs.) This fight is an advertised maximum of five rounds at five minutes per round.

Prior to that, the co-main event takes place in the welterweight ranks. Stephen Thompson (170 1/2 lbs) and Gabriel Bonfim (171 lbs) will square off inside the fabled Octagon. It’ll be a three-round affair at five minutes apiece.
