The 34-year-old made headlines recently when she revealed during an interview with Guilherme Cruz that she’s still working as an Amazon delivery driver as she pursues a full-time career in fighting, and apparently her brother Alex felt that the way the interview was conducted implied that he wasn't doing anything to assist his sister financially.
It’s important to note that Cruz’s story about Pereira on MMA Fighting does not include any claim that Alex isn’t doing anything to help his sister, but the news that Aline is still working as an Amazon delivery driver spurred many fans online to make that assumption about the UFC light heavyweight champion.

“Poatan” did note in his translated comment that he’ll be doing an interview of his own to address Cruz’s conservation with his sister, and it remains to be seen how and when exactly Pereira intends to release that video as he prepares for his upcoming title defense against Magomed Ankalev at UFC 313.
Aline is set to return to action tonight in the co-main event of Karate Combat 52, where she will take on MMA and boxing veteran Gisela Luna and attempt to score another highlight-reel win following her promotional debut in October.

Yankees only willing to part with top prospect for one specific player
The New York Yankees (59-49) have already been quite busy as buyers ahead of the July 31 (6 p.m. EST) trade deadline. Third baseman Ryan McMahon, infielder Amed Rosario and outfielder Austin Slater have all been added to the fold over the last week as Brian Cashman looks to push his roster over the top in pursuit of a World Series. While the Yankees have been active, they've done so without giving up any of their top prospects. Outfielder Spencer Jones continues to be a hot commodity around baseball, though New York is hesitant to deal him. Unless that is for Pirates superstar starting pitcher Paul Skenes, that is. MLB insider Jon Heyman shared the report on Thursday afternoon. Cashman and the Yankees clearly hold Jones in very high regard, which makes sense given he's lit up both AA and AAA in 2025. The 24-year-old is batting an impressive .402 with 13 HRs and 25 RBI in just 21 games since getting called up to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. His 6'7, 240-pound frame and skillset as a left-handed hitter are tantalizing, and he'll be ready to make an impact at the big league level sooner rather than later. Despite that, there's no question the Yankees should and would be willing to put him on the table in a trade for Skenes. The 23-year-old has been absolutely dominant to start his MLB career, with a 1.89 earned run average through his first 45 starts. He's already emerged as one of, if not the best, pitchers in baseball, with plenty of room to grow. The Pirates (47-62) have shown zero inclination or willingness to move on from Skenes, though you have to figure that teams like the Yankees will continue to call as long as Pittsburgh continues to struggle. It feels like a pipe dream for now, but holding out hope for Skenes to one day become available could be worth the wait, and no prospect would be excluded in such a deal.
Yankees beef up bullpen by acquiring ex-Pirates closer
Much-needed bullpen help has arrived for the New York Yankees. The Bronx Bombers are acquiring Pittsburgh Pirates closer David Bednar in exchange for three prospects, with the full trade first reported by MLB Network's Jon Morosi. The Yankees entered play on July 31 with a 4.24 bullpen ERA, which ranked 21st in MLB. Therefore, David Bednar represents a significant upgrade for a unit that sorely needed one. It's been a remarkable in-season turnaround for Bednar, who is only a few months removed from posting a 5.14 ERA in nine April appearances and nearly being ousted as Pirates closer. Since then, the veteran reliever has excelled, with a 1.61 ERA from May 1 onward. Pittsburgh turns Bednar, who has one year of arbitration remaining, into three solid prospects, headlined by catcher Rafael Flores, the Yankees' No. 8 prospect. The Pirates also received 14th-ranked prospect Edgleen Perez, who receives high marks for his bat as a catcher. The third prospect heading to the Steel City is outfielder Brian Sanchez, who is unranked but currently at Single-A. The price for controllable relievers has been high, to be sure. But it was one the Yankees needed to pay with both Luke Weaver and Devin Williams struggling, while righty Fernando Cruz tends to injury. With Bednar now in the fold, New York can feel much more secure in closing out games, leaving the others to set up roles as the Yankees attempt to chase down the AL East-leading Toronto Blue Jays. Meanwhile, this trade marks the second significant piece that the Pirates have moved leading up to the deadline, with third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes being dealt to the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday.
Eugenio Suarez Reportedly Has Simple, But Perfect Reaction to Being Traded to Seattle Mariners
According to Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710, All-Star third baseman Eugenio Suarez had a simple, but exciting response to being traded back to the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday night. Drayer, who was on the team plane from Sacramento to Seattle, said the Mariners held the plane for Suarez, who had just arrived with the Arizona Diamondbacks for their weekend series against the Athletics. When Suarez entered the plane himself, he went down the entire plane and greeted each person individually. Suarez had played with the Mariners from 2022-2023 and was considered the biggest offensive prize at the deadline. He has 36 home runs this season. Per Drayer on the 'Brock and Salk' show: I spoke very briefly with him, and he just said, ‘I am so happy,' Mariners fans are also excited to see Suarez return, and catcher Cal Raleigh gave a ringing endorsement of the move as well. Bringing in Suarez will give the Mariners the deepest lineup they've had in years, as he'll pair with Raleigh, Randy Arozarena, Julio Rodriguez and Josh Naylor. The Mariners have a solid left-right balance and have a good combination of speed and power. Seattle enters play on Thursday at 57-52 and in second place in the American League West, five games back of the Houston Astros. They are also tied with the Texas Rangers for the third and final wild card spot in the AL. Both teams are trailing the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. The Mariners will play the Rangers on Thursday at 6:40 p.m. PT.
Brewers-Red Sox Steal Looks Even Better With Trade Deadline
The 2025 Major League Baseball trade deadline will pass on Thursday night and as of writing, the Milwaukee Brewers haven't done too much this week. Milwaukee upgraded the backup catcher position by acquiring Danny Jansen from the Tampa Bay Rays. Outside of that move, there hasn't been many rumors out there about the Brewers. Milwaukee has been linked to sluggers, like Ryan O'Hearn of the Baltimore Orioles. But, there's not much out there right now. While this is the case, if the Brewers don't end up making some big, splashy deal, that is okay. Milwaukee has been aggressive in the trade market all season to this point. For example, when the Brewers' rotation was struggling early on this season, the Brewers called up the Boston Red Sox and acquired Quinn Priester. The 24-year-old has pitched to a 3.27 ERA and 89-to-36 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 107 1/3 innings pitched. He's appeared in 20 games overall with the Brewers, including 15 starts. He has a 10-2 record and league best 83.3 winning percentage. Priester hasn't even hit arbitration yet. He won't be a free agent until 2031. Milwaukee got him early on this season. If he was available on the trade block now, the Brewers would've had to pay a significantly higher price. Sure, the Brewers may not make a big move now. But, they are 64-44 and seemingly have enough to make a run. It would be great to add more power to the left side of the infield and as of writing there's still time to do that, but the Brewers are in good shape anyway.
