High-level mixed martial arts finds its home in the Apex center in Las Vegas for another stacked UFC card. Taking top billing at UFC Vegas 109, middleweights Anthony Hernandez and Roman Dolidze square off in a pivotal matchup for the category. In the second to last bout of the evening, flyweight heavy-hitter Steve Erceg and Ode Osbourne meet in a last-second bantamweight clash.
Having won his past seven fights in a row, Hernandez has emerged as a streaking name at 185-lb. Perhaps just one statement-making victory away from netting his first UFC title shot, “Fluffy” enters the Octagon with a lot riding on the line in the most important scrap of his career in the UFC Vegas 109 main event.
After a disappointing loss to Nassourdine Imavov, Dolidze has done well for himself in his recent outings to the cage, scoring three wins back-to-back over Anthony Smith, Kevin Holland and Marvin Vettori. Now back on track in the winner’s circle, the Georgian powerhouse knuckles up for what is gearing up to be his toughest assignment to date.
Taking back-to-back defeats to Alexandre Pantoja, Kai Kara-France and Brandon Moreno, Erceg believes that a mandatory victory this weekend is necessary to remain in the company. On the hunt for his first triumph in the cage since March 2024, “Astro Boy” prepares himself for a stern assignment in the venerable Osbourne.
Finally nabbing his first positive result in the Octagon after losing three straight, Osbourne appears to be building a little bit of steam as he prepares to tackle his first ranked foe in quite some time. Making his debut in the division back in 2021, “The Jamaican Sensation” has yet to claim a spot in the flyweight rankings, but a win over a strong former title challenger could see him finally earn a number next to his name next week.
Online Streaming: You can catch the entire card on ESPN+, but you will need to subscribe in order to do so. Right now, the company is offering a monthly or yearly subscription of $11.99 and $119.99 respectively. For those who want to get more bang out of their buck, there is also the monthly Disney Bundle Deal, which offers ESPN+, Hulu, and Disney+ for $16.99 with included commercials, or $26.99 for no commercials at all.
